Have ever felt that your walk is crap! Or have you ever noticed how sloppy your walk is? A lot of information is conveyed not only by how you stand or how you talk but also by how you move. The style of walking conveys a lot of information about our self-confidence and our mannerisms. Have you ever watched a guy who walks into the room like he is the boss? You must own a cool walk, you shouldn’t be intimidated by others. You’ve gotta show them who is the real boss. A proper walk leaves a positive impression which is very important. In simpler words, your walk should do half the talk. So How To walk cool (For Indian Men) ?. There are simple techniques that could easily improve your walking style.
So here is the answer to “How To Walk Cool”-
#1-Proper Posture
Having proper posture when walking is critical to looking like a confident badass. You should not slouch or hunch while walking. The spine must be erect. Your head must be upright and your eyes must be looking at the front. And the chin must be up all the time. Looking down while walking shows that you lack self-confidence. Bad posture while walking can lead to back pain, stiff neck, and other serious ailments.
#2-Shoulders back
After setting up a proper posture the next thing that you have to focus on is the position of your shoulders. Wrong shoulder position while walking neck can lead to poor blood circulation, neck pain, back pain, and several other problems. Hence proper shoulder alignment or position is important while walking. Make sure that your shoulders are back instead of falling to the front. Keeping a pulled back yet relaxed position of shoulders helps to maintain a stable and vertical column of support while you walk. And finally, move your shoulders slightly back and forth don’t keep them stuck to your torso.
#3-Don’t keep hands in your pockets
One of the most common mistakes that people commit while walking is keeping their hands inside their pockets. The subconscious mind, which thinks in a primitive way, believes that putting your hands in your pockets is a good way to hide and to avoid the situation. This also shows that you lack confidence and determination. Hence you should avoid this at all costs. Thus never keep your hands in your pockets while walking.
#4- Keep your feet spread
The next mistake that most men make while walking is, they actually walk with their feet too close together or with their toes pointed out. This makes you waddle while you walk, which looks very goofy. Try to spread those heals out and make your toes point straight. The feet should be shoulder-width apart. This could be difficult at first but with practice, you get used to it.
#5-Pace
The next important thing for a cool walk is maintaining the proper pace. The pace must be such that you can speak properly to a person while continuing your walk and should not appear breathless at the same time. Don’t walk too fast or too slow. Go for a brisk and casual pace. (Walking a bit fast is what you need) . While walking the hips must be level and the steps must be of equal length. Don’t take small steps or long strides while walking. You should be looking for a nice confident medium stride. Finally, land your heel first on the ground, and not the toe.
#6-Eye contact
So this where most people get wrong. Many think of not making eye contact while walking. You look around and as soon as you see someone else is coming your way you avert your eyes. This makes you look weak. This doesn’t mean you make eye contact with every random guy you see. This is when someone made eye contact with you, don’t rush at times like this hold the eye contact maybe for a second or two. And if you know someone just great them don’t keep on moving like you never saw them. (unless it’s your ex)
#7-Dress well
Finally, dress well. Walking cool with a bad outfit doesn’t really leave a good impression. In fact, it might even destroy your cool walk altogether. When you wear a good-outfit that fits you properly and the colors match you look good and feel good. When you look good you feel confident and you walk with confidence. Don’t look tensed and move your arms when needed don’t keep them glued. Dress like a king, walk like a king and finally live like a king.
